30” x 24” (76cm x 60cm) oil on stretched canvas.
A portrait of an avid reader.
Alongside the usual photograph, I asked for the title of her favourite book. Pages from this were pasted onto canvas to create a surprisingly intimate background.
Once complete, and the oils were dry, a clear, matt varnish was applied to the entire surface to preserve it.
