This is an artwork for the Miniature Project. This work is entitled 'Mini & Maxi Unusual Suspects' and follows on from the previous work 'Unusual Suspects'. It depicts digital art of the spiral shapes of finger prints with text taken from the Rights of Suspects 'You do not have to say anything. But it may...' The finger prints have been placed on the paper in an arrangement when taken by Police Suspects. The finger prints are to represent the heads of Un-known (Un-usual) Suspects in a line up parade with the backdrop of the primary coloured height lines in feet & inches. In this version the Artist has been playing around with perspective by use of different size of stick figures (the lines are similar to the horizontal height lines), and by inverting the height lines, and the height lines are the continuation of the arms of some of the suspects bodies. Also in his previous works, the Artist has explored balance, and has balanced and supported the figures off each other, suggesting a connection or link.
*** The artwork is reversible, the first image depicts the suggested way up from 4'0'' down to 7'0'' and the second image is reversed 7'0'' down to 4'0'' as normally seen in line up parade, you chose the way up!
This has been inspired by previous works, see 'Yo-Yo-Art: La liberté, l'égalité, la fraternité de la Tour Eiffel' in which finger prints are to represent the location of the fingers in space.
