Artwork description:
This small etching of an Oak tree was inspired by inscriptions engraved into a tree. included where love hearts, dates, initials, dating back 50 years. Some of the inscriptions I copied and embossed on a separate copper plate.
The work was worked on two copper plates using the methods - hard ground, aquatint and deep open bite to create an embossed image.
Materials used:
Oil based printing ink and Somerset Satin printing paper
