This painting has layers and layers of colors! All the colors of a Spring meadow. It is inspired by a meadow hat we walk past each day. I marvel at the life of a meadow - the bees and other insects, but also ground nesting birds such as bob-o-links. They flit, fly a dive above the meadow. They actually look like they are playing!

The colors are so enticing - the purples of lupines and the clover, the variety of colors of the other wildflowers.

I eliminated the sky in this one, to emphasize the warmth and movement of the colors in the meadow.

It is painted on a gallery wrapped canvas and I have painted the edges as an extension of the painting. There is a wire on the back of the painting, so you can hang it immediately!
