🎨When working with objects, one of the dreams that ends up obsessing you is being able to make them fly, or at least create the illusion of doing so. I have already painted more than thirty paintings showing pears, pomegranates, egg cups, silver spoons, various objects, etc. flying, but I had never before made a stone fly. The idea came to me when I discovered "Les chants de Maldoror", an iconic book which launched surrealism where from page 3, its author Le Comte de Lautréamont wrote that stones could want to fly. The association was quick to make and while my little snail sleeps peacefully, the stone rises, as if Nietzsche was passing by with his will to power. ^^
