INSPIRATION:
I live in Margate on the Kent Coast which often has fabulous dramatic skies and sunsets the colours at times are truly otherworldly. The landscape and seascapes here are legendary inspiration for artists going back hundreds of years . However this particular day and evening something ‘Magical’ was truly happening as I made my painting . The day was coming to a close - I had been painting all day outside - this piece of work - building up the layers and the most fantastic thing happened as the daylight began to fade……
A glorious sunset happened with a blaze of oranges, golden yellows, dazzling copper inks ,silver greys and varieties of golds . My painting fused with actual reality to help me on ! I felt something special was at work here.

MATERIALS:
I use layers of natural materials mostly , handmade inks, chalk from cliff falls I crush and add to vegetable dyes, mineral pigments, mica powder, gold leaf ,gouache, diamond dust ,oil pastel and some sprays for light cloud effects . I seal everything with a matt UV protector varnish you won’t notice but it adds depth even more .

SHIPPING:
The cost of shipping abroad such a big item is £1200 ( but I will incur half of this on average) as I have a crate especially made and they are fully insured and shipped from my freight company outside Heathrow. Customs paperwork is also dealt with by me/ freight company chasing them up most days. I’m very on the case.
