Artist's description:

The recent blood moon was the inspiration for this little painting. I often paint Honesty seed pods, who's country folklore name is sometimes 'Moonpennies' (Latin name Lunaria which means 'moon-like') and wanted to paint them together, so here was my opportunity! Using my imagination, some lovely deep red Daniel Smith watercolour paint, a little metallic glittery Sennelier oil pastel, some penwork and dark ink. Comes mounted and framed in a simple black wooden box frame.

Materials used:

Artist's quality watercolour, oil pastel and ink on paper
