This started out as a sequel to Klimt's 'the kiss' but turned into something more autobiographical. You reach a certain age as a man when you are no longer seduced by surface charms and have the confidence to say: 'frankly my dear, I don't give a damn,' and walk away.
It's real gold paint and the landscape is the Tweed valley just below my studio. Hope you like it.
