Original artwork description:

Acrylic colour on Fabriano cold pressed watercolour paper 22 x 30 inches.
Another of those amazing and amusing sights in Bangkok. I’ve long been attracted to the sight of this, the dynamics of the vendors and the bargain hunters. Trading in religious amulets seems a big business. And there’s a crazy display of amulet vendors lined up on the sidewalk along the main road leading to the weekend market. There’s a certain look about them, sitting on their low stool at their low tables with their selection of little stone, cement, or brass Buddhist icons. Here I mix that look, those postures, with a generous spray of colours.
The close up pictures are of higher resolution to give a better sense of the paint, paper and the brush stroke. Then there’s the work in progress.
Then there’s me at home holding up the painting for perspective. There is also a photo showing the typical scene of the amulet vendors on the roadside nearing the weekend market in Bangkok.
