Artwork description:

From the series 'Highlights In Low Light'

A commercial client about to move into the top 13 floors of what was to become the third tallest building in the City of London at the time, kindly arranged with the developers for me to be able to access the roof for fifteen minutes. Extraordinarily difficult conditions due to extremely strong winds and freezing temperatures required me to use a safety harness strapped to steel rails. The gusting wind made the use of my tripod - also chained to the rails - very challenging.

This vantage point with a view to Canary Wharf in Docklands was slightly more sheltered behind air conditioning housing than the open views to the city centre, so I concentrated on this shot. The church in the foreground is St Leonard's, Shoreditch.

As with all my images of this size, this is dry mounted on a backing board to avoid wrinkling in future. A double mount inside a black or white contemporary box frame sets this image off beautifully.

Alternative sizes, print methods and substrates are available. Please contact me through Artfinder to discuss your preferences or possible options if you have a particular budget in mind.

Materials used:

Giclee print on archival photographic rag paper, non-acidid mounts in a contemporary wooden frame
