Artwork description:

This print celebrates the beauty of the leaping hare. Once I have designed the image, I transfer it to lino, which I then hand-carve. I print the linoprint in my studio, using a roller press. As each print is individually printed, there may be slight variations in tone and colour. This print is made using two separate linoblocks, which are each individually inked and printed in different colours. Here I have used violet for the background and a dark purple for the hare. The image is printed onto a heavy soft white Somerset paper. Each print has the title, edition number and my signature hand-written in pencil beneath the image.
