Arguably one of the most beautiful beeches in Europe, Le Pouldu lies on the Finistère coast of Brittany near Moelan sur Mer and Clohars-Carnoet, France. Made famous by a meeting in 1889 between Paul Serusier and Paul Gauguin leading members of the Pont Aven group of artists. This watercolour attempts to show the beautiful and rugged shoreline seen from the clifftop footpath.
