In Greek mythology, Galatea is one of the Nereids (sea nymphs), daughter of Nereus and Doris. She lives on a shore in Sicily. Her name means "milk-white skinned" (derived from γάλα / gála, meaning "milk").
The CalbinoOz series received the jury prize in the Sculpture category at the 28th edition of the Salon des Arts de Chambourcy.
Materials: dried calabash, paper mache, blown glass, natural wool, natural leather laces, wood, small nails, natural acrylic paint and pearl effect, protective varnish.
