Painted on-site at Boerner Botanical Gardens in WI. Features a pair of peony flowers of the variety named "Keiko (Adored)". The flowers are painted in shades of rose, coral, and light pink, mixed with lavender and mauve. Painted with both brush and palette knife. Thick paint shaped by the palette knife enhances the texture of the flower petals, making them "pop". Running and dripping texture in the background is created with water-based casein paint and glazed over with oil for a unique look.
Sold framed in a 3" wide wood frame with ornate molding and an antique black finish. To purchase unframed, please contact me for price adjustment.
