This is an abstract work depicting the Indian goddess Kali . Though Kali is supposed to be associated with destruction and anger , in this work i have tried to express the benign form of goddess . She is happily sitting with her consort, her loved one Shiva and enjoying the offerings of fish and parched wheat .
The work is a complete joy and is done painstakingly with numerous layers of glazes in oil on wood and thus is fairly heavy . Please note that the shipping might be more because of the weight . Am also happy for the buyer to pick it up from my studio in London to avoid the shipping .
