• Artwork description

  The Japanese Forest Collection was inspired by a winter spent in Japan exploring the beautiful landscape and forests. These paintings are produced with a watercolor set Gillies picked up in Tokyo and has been working with for his most recent paintings.
  This particular painting has acrylics and watercolour with a resin finish.
  In a cross over from a preceding collection of circle paintings, this has a faded circle in the background of a hilly landscape. Its toned a contemplative mixture of greys and blues.
