Original artwork description:

when I fly to Dublin, my entry point in Ireland, I'm constantly peering from the window for the Irish coast to come into view. If I go on the ferry, I must stand at the foremost window eager to catch my first glimpse of the beautiful island of Ireland. This painting, of a coastal scene in the West of Ireland was created using oil paint. I love the coves and break away islets just off the coast and the heavy sky was a joy to paint. The Irish coast speaks to me of the hardships experienced in the past and of the necessity of close communities growing up in relative isolation from other groups. My tiny cottages suggest simple lives, but I question whether life is ever simple.


The painting comes ready to hang with an elegantly bound edge and a certificate of authenticity.
