Original artwork description:

In The Eye of the Dream
24x30 oil on canvas
First painting of @sandra__esmee
I have neurological damage to my brain that locks my brain into REM dream position while I’m awake which should never happen. This results in powerful hallucinations. There is always a fight when I’m painting between reality and hallucination. Being able to paint from life recently helps to anchor the paintings in our collective reality and bridging between hallucination (which are technically dreams) and this reality is my goal in this period of working with life models
