This is a giclée of an artwork I painted in 2020 called In Search of a Rainbow. This is a painting of a lion set in a modern, colorful, abstract background. The quote by Charlie Chaplin is incorporated into the background of this painting and it reads:

You'll never find a rainbow,
If you are looking down.

The background is very vibrant, busy and full of color representing our fast paced "now" world. The image of the walking lion is painted in a monochrome palette to represent the calmness of his inner world.

By creating such contrast in colors, I hoped to bring emphasis to our everyday life and habits. Although we live during a wonderful time in the wonderful world, it is fast and competitive. It is easy to lose yourself in your work and technology. I find that it is important to slow down and recharge from time to time. In the words of Charlie Chaplin - to notice the rainbow, to find peace, love and beauty in the nature around us.

This is an original artwork, painted with acrylic paints and marble powder. The sides of the canvas are painted and it's ready to hang. I always use 1.5" thick gallery wrapped cotton canvas for its durability and 3D effect. The canvas is stretched over high quality pine wood frames and stapled on the back providing a clean finish on the sides. Since the sides are painted the painting can be left unframed for the contemporary look.
