You can almost hear the gentle soothing sounds of the creek. The lower creek area of Amicalola Falls in the North Georgia Mountains provided inspiration for this impressionist painting on canvas. The muted color palette will take you back to quiet moments enjoying nature beside a quietly flowing creek. Amicalola Falls is a 729-foot waterfall in Dawson County, Georgia, United States. It the highest waterfall in Georgia and is considered to be one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Georgia. The name "Amicalola" is derived from a Cherokee language word meaning "tumbling waters".
