Original artwork description:

In an Ikea store painting of I saw a woman and a man looking for so-called paintings.

Of course the art they're looking at isn't real art, these are just prints on canvas not even limited in edition. Thousands of the same image are in circulation and many have them in their homes. I thought it would be interesting to paint those images as a way to elevate them to real art.

With Ikea I want to raise questions about consumerism and of course just make an image that's beautiful to look at too.

Materials used:

Acrylic on masonite
