Original artwork description:

DESCRIPTION: Having the element of water as reference, this artwork depicts two major and opposite situations. An emotional stack, a swamp coexists with the force for movement and energy. Emotions that were dominant in artist's life at the time, are captured in this artwork. Specifically, she was at the end of a very long personal affair. In addition, it is one of the very first artworks that the artist uses fluid acrylic.

HANG: It is stretched on wooden canvas, and wired, but sides are not with gallery wrapped canvas, they have staples. The best way to install it is framed.

MATERIALS: Although it was created in 2008, it was painted with high quality acrylic paint (Windsor and Newton), on hand stretched high quality canvas. A thin layer of varnish protects the artwork against UV light and dust.

SIGNATURE: It is signed in front and back and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

"Nature, colors and materials inspire me the most. I follow the potentials of the materials, in a free, gestural process, which reminds of free associations in psychotherapy and meditation. I see one point and the whole, almost at the same time, again and again. I release and I hold, add and erase, again and again. I let my instinct and emotion flow, observing carefully how the elements of art communicate with each other; I form a composition that satisfies my aesthetic, emotional, and spiritual pursuit. What seems coincidence at the beginning is a product of systematic observation of every little detail and stroke study.

I usually use acrylic combined with pigments. I work layer after layer, creating transparencies, revealing the best textures and design elements; I bring into being a unique and mysterious atmosphere, in a dynamic and passionate manner, full of energy, close to abstract expressionism".
