This bouquet of flowers along with a hummingbird and butterfly is a strong design concept. The colorful flowers attract the butterfly and hummingbird to enjoy the nectar the flowers produce. Of course, this is created out of my imagination. The flowers are created using strong vibrant colors. The hummingbird and butterfly are a little more subdued and you have to spend a moment to look for them.
The flowers are created using traditional acrylic painting technique but the black leaves are hard edged black and white elements and add a more contemporary feeling to this flower arrangement. This technique goes back to my digital days of using Illustrator and Photoshop but these are hand drawn on the canvas.
The technique of combining the looseness of acrylic with the hard outlines of the black ink designs is a technique just used only by me in my artistic expression.
