Artwork description:

I am fascinated by crocodiles and alligators, such ancient animals living right here amongst us. I have called this High Society, because surely these guys are the aristocrats of age, right apart from the maybe cynical observation ;0))

a handprinted relief etching, this means that as the artist, I create a copperplate that holds the image, from this copperplate I print an edition, every time a print is printed, the copperplate has to be inked up, in the case of this plate it does mean that differences occur, I actually tend to print each print in a different color, depending on my mood, so your print is really an original piece of art!
The acid used to make the copperplate, has bitten the copper in relief, so the plate is as gorgeous as the print!
You can see me making and etching a copperplate if you go to the "me at work" section.

I printed High Society in a lovely contemporary black on a piece of beautiful warm white printmaking paper, that measures approx 25 " x 13",(63 cm x 30 cm) the size of the copperplate (see thumbnail) image is 21" x 8" (53 cm x 20 cm), this gives you plenty of paper to frame the print as a statement if you like.

I sign, title and number each print.
"High Society" is printed in a limited edition of only 40 prints.

I'll mail your etching from my printmaking studio in Denmark with many years experience in packing my art so it arrives safely, see my over 1000 reviews.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch, I'd love to hear from you!
