Artist's description:

Series inspired by amazing Mexican Lucha Libre and by 19th century herbariums. I like so much to mix the brilliant colours and the fantasy of Mexican luchadores with the delicacy of wild flora detailed representations. Here we have a fan of Mil Mascaras (or Mil Mascaras himself?), legend of Mexican wrestling famous for the various masks weared during lucha libre combats, holding softly a wild strawberry plant with his strong fingers.

Artworks realized with watercolors and acrylics on paper applied on canvas. Comes professionally framed with a golden ornate wooden frame. Ready to hang. Check out the other paintings of the series, available in my shop.

Materials used:

300 gsm Fabriano paper on stretched canvas, watercolours, acrylics, wooden frame

Herbarium #2 (2017)
