Everyone loves a giraffe and this painting has been particularly popular in print, so here is the original. Based on a photograph of the giraffe feeding from high tree branches, I added some ox-pecker birds which can be found feeding on ticks and insects on all of the large mammals of Africa, to improve the composition, give an extra splash of colour and some movement. The result is a pleasing and cheerful scene which will brighten and add interest to any room in my opinion. This is a fairly large painting measuring 14 x 22 inches which is presented double bevel mounted and framed in a hand waxed, natural, pale wood frame to a total size of 31 x 23 inches, ready to hang.
