This newly created land of raw beauty is so haunting - a memory in our subconscious of how beautiful the world must have been before humans came and the world was in its infancy.
Huge underwater volcanoes in the North Atlantic Ridge let loose vast amounts of lava that built up in the last million years from the bottom of the sea to create a magical fairy tale land of pristine shallow seas with beaches of black sand, huge tumbling waterfalls and towering active volcanoes .Glaciers tumbling towards the sea are my inspiration for this work.
Materials-
Using fabulous natural materials like mica, diamond dust, copper filings, sand, crushed chalk from local cliff falls, inks, sprays, oils this is a tribute to the forces of Nature. All encased in layers built up of matt resin.
I can include a free wood grain frame. Many clients prefer without natural on the wall.
