Artist's description:

. . . Parasamgate Bodhi Svaha
Going, going , going beyond, always going beyond, always becoming Buddha.

This photo was taken in the back yard of my parent's house in Madison, Wisconsin. My Dad decided to replace the dilapidated tool shed with a garage. That meant he had to take out the prettiest tree in the yard: a little Maple tree. I was a little miffed until he explained that the tree had to come out anyways. It looked nice on the outside, but on the inside it was rotting. This kind of tree was a fast-growing species. So he and my cousin felled the tree and back-hoe ripped the roots out of the ground. This photo is of the tender little roots of that lovely little maple tree.
