All horses have grace and beauty but the fine-limbed warm-blooded breeds seem to suggest a strength of spirit that cannot be contained within their slender legs and sleek build. Whatever stance they take they portray a passion and power that has earned the respect of mankind throughout history.
This horse is inspired by the Arab breed as they hold both head and tail high and proud to survey their surroundings.
He is made by twisting and weaving individual strands of various gauge copper wire together until the shape is established. Gaps and spaces are left within the wirework to allow a delicate and intricate pattern to both catch the light whilst allowing light to pass through it.
I also make other nature-inspired sculptures using silver-plated wire.
