Plants are complex, resilient beings with an extraordinary ability to influence other living beings. Folium is a photographic synthesis of our emotional relationship with plants.
Human time and plant time, although governed by the same light, seem to be on two levels where movement, speed, force and emotion are measured differently.
The Folium photographic project aims to offer a visual synthesis of these two levels, to superimpose them and try to bring out the hidden image of our emotional connection with the plant world.
Folium V is an original print made in the darkroom using only light sensitive paper. The image is printed on archival photographic paper which has been hand processed in a traditional darkroom.
This shot was taken with an analog Leica. The camera beside the print is not part of this sale.
