Artist's description:

Bubbles floating and vibrant butterflies flying above the clouds.

I've found this painting has different meanings for different people... I've been asked if the butterflies represent the souls of the recently deceased, as is believed in some cultures, or if by including a rainbow butterfly as the largest one I am indicating that those in the LGBT community are represented as 'flying free' if they are true to themselves.

In truth, when I first put paint to canvas, I hadn't thought of either of those things but it's fantastic that people find their own meaning in it.

Painted in acrylic on canvas board, with a hint of glitter in the rainbow butterfly and on the edge of the bubbles, it is supplied framed (without glazing) and measures 21.5 x 17.5 inches/52 x 44cm.

Signed on the reverse and supplied with a certificate of authenticity.

Materials used:

Acrylic, varnish, glitter, glue, canvas board
