I am learning how to paint with more ease on the small format. I have discovered that subject matter plays an important role. Smallness means simplicity; the old adage that "less is more" is more apt than ever in the small format. Here I am exploring two of my loves: the human figure and drapery. In a compositional style reminiscent of Degas.
