This Oil Pastel on black paper drawing was done on the first morning of a recent family trip to Sun Moon Lake in Nantou, Taiwan. Whenever I visit this beautiful lake I always enjoy waking up before sunrise and drawing the lake as the day breaks. It is always so peaceful at this time and the water is still and glass like. I love watching and hearing the birds and fish moving as the colours of the lake appear out of the darkness. In this drawing I wanted to capture two of the many fishing platforms that are on the lake as I like the way the colours reflect and contrast with the natural colours around them. It is always an enjoyable challenge trying to capture the subtle differences of reflected colours on water.

Shipping rates have increased in price all around the world due to Covid and other complications. Due to this I have had to increase the the cost of shipping my artworks in line with the Delivery Companies. I will always strive to find the cheapest possible option for the customer (usually my local POST OFFICE EMS Recorded Delivery, but unfortunately they don’t deliver worldwide at the moment) If the amount of shipping charged at purchase is less than the shipping company charges then I will refund the difference to the customer. This refund will be done after the picture has arrived safely and has been accepted.
Any import duties, taxes and charges that may be payable are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges, if applicable, will be the responsibility of the buyer. Please message me to check if this might affect your purchase.
