Artist's description:

"First September Sighting" is an abstract painting of my favorite oak tree at the end of the summer. There used to be a wonderful vine that crawled up the oak. In September it would start to turn the most interesting gold and as the weeks went by it changed to blazing yellow and orange. I was so disappointed to learn that that interesting vine was actually poison ivy! But it had been so interesting to watch!

This work is on standard size stretchers and can be easily framed. The sides are painted a dark paynes gray.

Materials used:

canvas, paint
