Don't let them fool you, it had nothing to do with unfair taxes. Lady Godiva was just sick and tired of wearing so many clothes. The shift, the corset, the skirts, the overskirts and especially the chastity belt. She would often sneak off on warm mornings to run naked in the grass with her grand steed. When her husband caught her one day he decided to make her crime known to the townspeople by making her ride through town naked. Of course, he new her hair would cover her so he wouldn't really be sharing her charms with other men, but she was ecstatic. She figured she could start a movement, get some ladies behind her who felt the same about the ridiculous restrictions put on them by men. She tried to get the women behind her, even telling them about the vitamin D they were missing, but to no avail. It took a few more centuries before they got rid of corsets and it wasn't until the 1960's women decided bras were an option.
Ok, I made that up...this is really Debra Jo Fondren, Playboy's Playmate of the Year 1978 and an avid horsewoman.
