Artist's description:

This is part of my Norse Mythology series. Fenrir was a wolf-like beast, a child of Loki, that was fated to kill Odin (king of the gods) at Ragnarok, the doom of the gods. This series came about as part of a painting exercise (in which I created 7 paintings in 7 days).

I love mythology. Norse mythology is so rich and unique, and Fenrir was just one of many elements that caught my interest.

With this painting I tried to be more loose, expressive, and really just embrace the chaos as I began to paint on a blank canvas and let the ideas and concept take shape as I worked. I worked with a pallet knife on the background which was a lot of fun and created some lovely effects. I loved this was of working, and I think it allowed me to create something with a lot of emotion and energy.
