"Falling to blue, falling to you..."
A face falls from a deeply cloudy sky to hover over bright water.
I've deliberatley kept the palette simple and subdued in this dreamlike image, which is painted in watercolour and gouache on *Khadi paper.
I thought of the face appearing almost like a moon hovering over a still sea. (I'm unclear if it is male or female).
Tumultuous clouds, dark and tinted with purple at the top of the image, give way to a softer pink on the the horizon behind the face. The water picks up the pink and purple and hints of brightness from the face, but has its own blue and turquoise tones...
I also thought of a guardian, an angel, a dreamlike figure visiting in one's sleep.
(Please note: The photographs of the "framed" painting are CGI images to show the proportions and how it might looked framed; including a picture to show off the edge of the lovely paper if it were to be floated to show the edge).
