Artwork description:

My little linocut heads are a symbol of how many of us might be feeling during this moment in our history. Powerless to stop the direction of where our leaders are taking us. This powerlessness is depicted by my use of many faceless profiles.
The image of these heads signify how we maybe feeling, as though we’re just faceless entities to those in power, that we have no impact or strength to change things. However, if we turned these feelings of insignificance around and made our connections to each other more united then maybe we wouldn’t be just another number fading away to nothing.
Every print is handmade with each individual head hand printed onto beautiful 100% cotton paper. Each tonal grade of red ink has been carefully mixed so as to create the subtle gradation in colour. Every print will be different due to the placements of the heads which I print individually.
Be aware that as this is a handmade artwork that there will be irregularities in the texture of the ink and faint ink marks caused by the hand printing of the small Lino blocks.
