Faceless Landscape series is the artist’s attempt to reflect specific time of day and season in an abstract artwork, using only colours and blurred shapes. This abstract landscape by Zakhar Shevchuk takes us to a summer morning. The edge between figurative art and abstraction has been crossed here towards the abstract depiction. Nevertheless, you may still recognise some landscape elements in the shapes and forms of this oil painting. Green surface at the bottom gently transfers into more intensive colour at the horizon line that borders more light sky. At least, this is one of the interpretations of this artwork, which may also be perceived as fully abstract.
