Original artwork description:

The piece expresses similarities and overlap in natural and synthetic motifs which often go unnoticed. The depicted pattern is taken from a hat but also resembles animal scales as well as corals. In order to emphasize this correlation, both natural and synthetic approaches are used through the medium and technique. In other words, an extension to my concept becomes more evident through the combination of silkscreen with free flowing painting and clay. An overproduced and mechanical way of making art combined with essentially the most natural and organic material. Also, the combination in creating the pattern and making it look as if it seamlessly transitions into the background and transforms from a silkscreen into a painting, is an additional factor in highlighting the overlap in our surroundings.

This high quality mixed media painting/silkscreen is covered with a matte UV varnish and is signed and dated on the back. It is done on a wooden artbox and does not need a frame as the edges and sides are also painted. Additionally, it can be assembled as the customer desires.

Material:
Silkscreen with house paint, clay, acrylic molding paste and gel topcoat on wooden artbox

Size:
The small dark blue artbox is 8'' by 8'' by 2''
The small purple artbox is 8'' by 8'' by 4''
