Original artwork description:
This is one of the last remaining works in my Horizons series which is a series of abstract landscapes painted from 2014 to 2019.
In 'Expectation', I have used both brush and palette knife to create a conceptual piece focusing on colour and linear movement. The idea is to present to the viewer an almost 'mirage-like' feeling. The work is highly textured featuring muted blues, greys, and greens, as well as pink and cherry red.
The work has been created using professional oils and it is varnished with Gamar to protect against UV light.
The painting continued on sides (so that no frame required unless desired) and is ready to hang with wire attached
