Original artwork description:
This painting was an experiment. The artist isn't very good at imaging what something would look like so she just tries out the idea to see how it works. The idea was to keep moving the stencils by 5mm and graduating the shade. Having got to black it looked a bit boring so she took it back again to white. One of the nice byproducts of the repetition is how things start of really perfect and then gradually get more interesting as the layers of paint build up on both the canvas and the stencils.
