Lady L. is a very special dog sculpture.

She belongs to the CalbinoOz series, made from natural calabash wood.

More than a canine, she is a refined lady dog with an atypical dress embroidered with changing patterns and shades between red and leathery brown, wearing elbow-length gloves. She has pearly toenails, and beautiful blue glass-blown eyes that ask to be reassured.
The stitches of the dress and its variable colouring required long hours of painstaking work by the artist. Indeed, the patterns in relief on a deep red variegated background, with each small flower stitch in lighter carmine red, were worked with a fine brush...

A fairly light sculpture, the calabash has been emptied of its contents, seeds and skins, so that it can be exported without fear to the health level of the whole world. Then, it rests on a black iron base for more stability.

Materials: dried natural calabash wood, surfine wood pulp, acrylic paint, varnish, blown glass, giant wood seed for the nose.
