ARTWORK CONCEPT:
Something that I absolutely love in Barcelona it’s that the sunlight really suits this city. It isn’t only sunny place but it’s also a place that actually looks better with sunlight shadows. It is as if the city and the climate was meant for each other.
During the sunny days shadows are making their own arabesques on the wall of modern stone buildings. They are playing with form of the city revealing some parts and making others to disappear.
The concept of disappearance in space is one of the main themes in this art peace. Disappearance in our thoughts, dreams, worries. And yet in this kind of “disappearances“, while being for a bit absent of life we are revealing so many angles inside ourselves.
TECHNIQUE:
The artwork is done in the author's mixed media on paper. I used several different materials and looked for the perfect combination as I worked on the painting. The graphic work is made with ink, alcohol, pen, tempera, charcoal. My technique is a kind of creative, emotional experiment on paper which allows me the maximum of freedom and flexibility.
AUTHORS CONCEPT:
All my artworks are based on real events and deeply personal experiences, which I express through metaphorical appeals, surrealistic forms and variety of signs. All buildings, objects, people at pictures are real and based on my memories, photos and real life models.
