'Devil's Dyke, South Downs'

I painted this piece on a 30+ degree day as the scorched grass across the dyke suggests. I stood right in line with the valley and watched people on hikes disappearing round the bend. I just loved the gentle curves of the landscape and the array of soft greens and earthy tones merging together.
