"Dallas Crossings" explores my deep interest in maps through abstraction. Using muted teal with pale yellow and green, the familiar highways and loops become lines while the neighborhoods take on abstract spaces. Dallas is intersected by major US interstate highways which form a well-known diagram of routes. This artwork on canvas layers paint and fine art tissue, creating a translucency of color and shape.
