  • Biography

My paintings embrace the abstract "language." They are intentional contrasts joining color and line, shape and pattern, texture and layers with paper and canvas. I want to explore how these random and separate elements can be connected to form harmonious paintings that visually speak to the viewer.

My creative process is both planned and spontaneous. I love creating new color palettes and abstract studies inspired by aerial landscapes, urban structures, earth patterns, and old surfaces. Using acrylic paints, inks, and pencil on paper and canvas, I create and scraping away the layers, and add hand-painted paper or canvas fragments to contrast or complement the developing painting. This blend of the familiar with the ambiguous is a hallmark of my work and gives each viewer a personal way to interpret and connect with my paintings.
