I was tempted to name this painting "Juicy Wave" because of the texture and clear acrylic encasement which makes it look like the wave has been frozen in clear ice. There's high texture and depth of translucent blues and blue green colour that washes over the piece. Golden molding paste was first carved into and then left to cure over night. Then acrylic paint was layered, spattered and glazed over a period of days. Salt was also utilized to build texture and interesting granulation effects. Then a thick layer of acrylic gel was laid over to give the piece it's gem-like appearance. And now you have the finished labour of love.
