Artist's description:

There is a wonderful feeling of Waldeinsamkeit; a sense of being alone and at one with the forest.
This particular forest scene is part of the Glane valley, and the view is almost directly opposite the studio of Jean Baptiste Camille Corot (1796-1875), which after its reconstruction, sits along the river's edge. The area is home to rare fauna and flora such as Osmunda regalis, or royal fern.

This original oil painting is on canvas (attached to board for rigidity), painted with Rembrandt, W&N, Gamblin and Old Holland paints, and various brushes (mostly bristle), in an alla prima style.

Materials used:

oil paints (Rembrandt, W&N, Old Holland), Brushes (hogs hair, sable)
