"There is no story-telling behind these works. These are just traces that are scattered on the 'field of color' by me who enjoys to express various emotions like stillness, tranquility and contemplation after emptying my mind. Although the 'field of color' is not precisely defined, it is the emotion we can feel, such as joy, warmth, depth, loneliness, and serenity. The purpose of these paintings are to express nothing, and in that sense, it can be called 'postmodern', but they are just an 'internal meditation', nothing more, nothing less. Ataraxy - a state of serene calmness, tranquility of mind"
